Frequently Asked Questions

What to Expect

Once you reach out to schedule your free quote, we will set up a time that works for both our schedules. Sebastian will talk to you at length about the project and answer any questions you might have. A written quote will be emailed within 48hrs. Quotes are good for 60 days. Upon acceptance of the quote, a 50% deposit will be due and we will work out a date for work to begin.

We will keep you updated every step of the way! Upon completion of the job we can send a written invoice and the remaining 50% will be due.

Do I need a permit?

Every job is different! Permit requirements vary by municipality. If you are a homeowner you may choose to have the work permitted and Sebastian is happy to walk you through the permit process every step of the way. As a master plumber and plumbing contractor, he can pull permits.

Is the quote really 100% free?

Yes! The quote really is 100% free - zero trip charge.

Estimates are usually about 30mins to an hour long depending on how many questions you have, Sebastian will take pictures and discuss in length your vision of the project. You can expect a written estimate to be emailed within 48hrs.

We honor estimates for 60 days - we are happy to try and price match to other written quotes you have gotten.

How long can I expect to wait for service

We try to fit every call in as soon as possible as the schedule allows. Sebastian will regularly work late and some Saturdays to fit everyone in. Generally he can respond to quote requests within the same day, but that will vary. We are a small business and Sebastian is the only plumber.

What is a plumbing inspection?

A plumbing inspection involves a complete check of all visible plumbing on a property. You will receive a written plumbing inspection report. This is ideal for home buyers or realtors looking to verify the plumbing integrity on a property prior to purchase.

Can I get a COI from BASH prior to service?

Yes, we are happy to provide a certificate of insurance upon request.

Is a deposit required?

Yes, generally speaking. For larger jobs we do require a standard 50% deposit before work begins. Upon completion of the job the remaining 50% will be due.

For smaller service calls that are completed on the same day - such as a faucet change out, a deposit might not be necessary and payment would only be due upon completion of the job.

Do I have to buy materials?

It's up to you! The detailed quote includes a break down of material cost. If you want us to purchase the materials then we are happy to do that. If a client or contractor would like to purchase the materials themselves, that's fine too!

*We do not warranty customer provided materials

Do I have to secure my pets?

Sebastian is an animal lover! - your dogs, cats, lizards, horses, etc.. are fine to be just as they are.

The only exception is if you know your pet will be protective of their home. We are happy to respect any areas/boundaries so that your pets feel comfortable.

What areas do we service?

We are based in Fort Collins but regularly travel to Loveland, Longmont, Denver, Greely, Boulder, Estes and Colorado Springs.

We are also happy to service Cheyenne, WY.

Other parts of Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska are possible, however additional travel fees may apply to account for gas and travel time.

In cases of longer distance travel, if you can send detailed pictures and/or do a video call of the job site, we can still get you a free written estimate.

Is there a contract?

Sometimes, we will require a service contract detailing scope of work for larger jobs or remodels.

Service agreements are designed to protect both parties and we are always happy to accommodate a homeowner or contractor request for a service agreement, no matter how big or small the job is.

Are we licensed?

Yes, Sebastian is a licensed master plumber and plumbing contractor in Colorado.
